Flowers Vase
What should I mix with water my flowers in the vase to live longer?
I usually change the water every day in the mud. I do not know the name of a flower, but is similar to the sunflowers and comes in different colors.
What works best for me is like adding a tablespoon of bleach to water. I know it sounds weird, but when my father died, we had tons of flowers to his funeral and added fresh water and chlorine for vases and lasted over two weeks. You can also use Sprite or 7-Up in the water. Again, just a tablespoon or two. Flowers last longer, but I found bleach seems to work better. Good Luck!

Antique Clay
Need help! I want to know about tile .. can be colored?
I need to know or not if it can be painted tiles .. terracotta tiles may be painting .. and if there's an array that can be used to this? that clay pots? Clay pots are painted drawings Mexican the right hand? can, in theory, a porous material such as this tile has also painted the same clay? I want some help .. Mother said that you can do based on theory, "he said before at home .. got the same card in my home and I'm looking for more contemporary look in my decor and color tiles Old Mission style old conflict with my new decorations too much work to remove all and put new floor in I asked him what he could do and she said we could paint .. HELP !!!!!!!! what can be done!
Anyone tiles ceramics you can paint whatever old or new. The most important thing is to ensure that the board is perfectly clean. Many people ignore instructions on the paint containers. If you take a moment to read these instructions, you find that tell you to apply the paint to dry and clean surfaces that are free of grease, wax, dirt and dust. The key is to use the paint on the right urethane paint and clear. You Ceramic tile can be cleaned with any soap, but often more powerful give a better job. I invite you to use a brush to clean aggressively tile and grout. The best tile and grout cleaner than I used is oxygen bleach. It is a powder that is mixed with water. Apply a generous amount of the solution and let rest in the grout. Millions of bubbles oxygen attacks the dirt. After waiting 10 minutes scrubbing the grout with a solution of excess oxygen bleach grout and Look like new. If you also paint the grout, the grout must be made dry for at least 48 hours. To ensure that the new paint does not chip, it is necessary to use the correct color. In the past, I had great success with oil paint. pollution laws that address volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in this table more and more difficult to find oil paintings. Many people do not like the cleaning process where you need to use mineral spirits alcohol and paint thinner to clean paint brushes, rollers and other tools. paints contain water-based urethane resin paints are good to use too much. Polyurethane glue is very sticky, and after all, is what painting really is - a liquid glue that contains color. You really need a sticky paint to adhere to the glossy surface of most ceramic tile. There are places where the paint is not applied to tile or other glass surfaces. Do not succeed in the ceramic tile that is wet on a regular basis. Examples are the tiles surfaces in a bathtub or shower. I do not paint the inside of a glass cup toilets. You can paint a ceramic tile backsplash in water sometimes it. The ceramic tiles in the bathroom may also be painted as long as water sports in the bathrooms are not out of control. To keep the paint on the tile like new, must protect. This is especially true if you decide to paint ceramic tiles. Painted floors of any job well done, and the proof of this is basketball. Basketball Pintado are created by patterns of paint on the floor, let the paint harden for two days and cover the floor with several layers of floor finish vacuum. I found that water-based urethanes to stay away from time never yellow. As for painting the grout, which is a personal decision. There is no doubt that you easier if you paint the grout the same color as tile. If you want a color change, you will need to be carefully recorded grout lines with acrylic adhesive that does not stick to wet paint. If you want to grout regrout natural and necessary, do so before painting. The process of feedback damage the freshly painted room. Agreement requires a lot of paint Grout skill and patience. You can use a roller to paint a ceramic tile floor. I suggest a roll with a low nap to keep the bubbles and the texture to a minimum. You can also add products to the paint that allows them to move and get a finish if they had been treated. If you have a spray but can spray the tile. Be sure to protect adjacent surfaces against the spraying. Make sure the urethane is used to protect the paint is applied on a clean and dust free. Read paint can label to see how long you can apply urethane. It is preferable to cure the paint, as long as possible so that is nice and hard. Thus, it will be more sustainable http://www.askthebuilder.com/723_How_To_Paint_Ceramic_Tile.shtml

Handmade Clay
how often do packages get lost in the mail, and do the USPS workers open up packages often?
I want to send a stuffed animal and a little clay sculpture to my friend in college for his birthday. How often do packages get lost in the mail? And I remember an ebay seller who would write notes in the package to the USPS not to take their thing out of the box, as it was a fragile handmade item. so how often do they open up packages?
Only suspect packages are Xrayed first and then maybe opened. That is why they always ask at the post office what is in the package for you to declare it's not prohibited mail. I suggest the best thing is to take and mail the package at the post office in person. Some people are still putting boxes in the mail box and then it gets opened.

Beads Necklace
How do you make a bandana necklace with the big wooden beads and cotton balls?
I remember making these back in the 1980s but can't remember how we did it. Anyone? Thanks!
I think they were made with bandana type fabric rather than a whole bandana (and often with other fabrics too). From what I remember, the fabric was cut into a long strip, then sewed all along one long side and probably one short side (inside out). It was then turned inside out so the fabric faced outward.
A bead with a large hole was threaded onto one end of the fabric tube to the "end" position (leaving enough fabric to tie or to add a clasp, or not to fall on top of the shoulders, etc), then glued there to hold in place.
Then a bit of polyester stuffing or perhaps a cotton ball was shoved all the way to the first bead inside the fabric tube.
Then another bead was threaded onto the outside of the tube, another bit of stuffing inserted in the tube . . . repeat, repeat.
The last bead probably needed to be glued in place too, or guess it could be sewed through the back side of its large hole.
HTH,
Diane B.
